I'm so pleased to have this pattern completed. Test knit by a few knitters, it was fun to see the different versions of the pattern knit in different yarns and colourways. I think this was the most exciting part for me actually - seeing how my test knitters interpreted the pattern by their yarn choice. There was 2 colour striping, semi-solid and self-striping yarns used and all of them came out so cute! If you'd like your own pattern, it is now up for sale in Ravelry...enjoy!
Monarca Shawl: A top down, triangular-shaped shawl with a simple lace body and a larger lace border. Optional colour striping creates a dramatic element to the shawl. Named after the Monarch butterfly, the shawl’s body elicits images of crawling caterpillars and the border takes on the shape of the butterfly wing.
Raveled: Monarca Shawl
The shawl is beautiful. I really like the striping!
