On the needles now...Saroyan in Serenity 20 using the Inferno colourway. So far I'm enjoying this knit very much as it's a little different from a triangular shawl and not quite a scarf as the edging makes it just interesting enough to hold my attention and I do so love little lace details.
Also in the works...a fabulous stole design knit by Wendy of Wendy Knits who has described Serenity 20 to be as soft as "buttah"...love that review! I'm so excited to see the final design. It's really an honour to work with such fantastic designers - watching them create gorgeous pieces from ZYG yarns is the best part of our collaborations!
I'm anxiously watching for a couple more designers to cast on Serenity 20 (Cookie A is one) as I am always intrigued by what designers decide to make with the yarn. I have visions of colour when I dye and I can only imagine that designers have visions of designs once they have the yarns in their hands. The creative flow is fascinating...from my visions of colour to their visions of design...it's all so magical.
Up in the store right now are a few more colourways in Serenity 20 if you are looking for a yarn as soft as "buttah"! :)
On a completely unrelated note I had someone ask me to knit them a small blanket with letters in it. Can you imagine? I just don't have the time to entertain such an undertaking and when I said it'd be rather expensive it was a bit of shock to them of course...LOL Anyone know of someone who would knit something like that for a reasonable price? Let me know if you do as I'm happy to refer them.
Saroyan is looking great. It must be so exciting for you to be working with all these designers using your gorgeous yarn.
