There are times when I really wish I could go to more fibre festivals but alas, living in Ontario means it's a pretty fair jaunt for me every time I consider it and with the schedule I have, it's hard to fit them in without planning for them for a few weeks. However, I am really pleased to let everyone know I will be at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival this year! Well, okay I won't be but my yarns surely will and it's always fun to go in spirit to these festivals.
I am about to ship quite a few yarns over to Cloverhill Yarn Shop who will have a booth at the festival where my yarns will make their appearance! I'm really quite excited to see my yarns make it to a fibre festival this year. Makes me very happy. I may not be there but I'm sure glad my yarns will be! Click the photos to make bigger for a sampling of some of the colourways. Don't they just all scream Spring?
Jolene was kind enough to give me free reign on colourways and I'm really pleased with the variation I managed this go around because you see, as a dyer, I am happiest when I can dye on inspiration. What does that mean? Standing in front of my dye pots and dyes and letting the inspiration tell me what colours to put together.
Be sure to click over to Jolene's shop link and then to her blog as she will be holding contests until the date of the festival - you just might win something fun!
Are you going to MDS&W? If you are, please make sure to check out Cloverhill's booth - Jolene will have a wide selection of yarns in her booth from several dyers. I'm still thinking about making the 9 hour drive just to see what the festival is like and you never know, I may be there in more than just spirit. We shall see!
Congratulations Roxanne & those are gorgeous colors! I wish I could be there too.

Such a tease! Before I finished reading, I knew I had to go so I meet you in person, and then I tried to remember all the other yarnies who will be there. And then I saw that you will be represented by your work. :(
But congratulations! It is still very exciting. :D

Yay Amy! You know what would be fun? Taking a picture of Roaming Tigger in front of my yarns if you can! That would be so hilarious.

Roxanne, I believe I heard your DH say that you could come to MDS&W in person. I mean I will be at the booth looking at your stuff but I would rather see you. We could do a Flat Roxanne. I think that it will have to be a Flat Roxanne attending the show this year.
I promise to take lots of photos for you. Now I am off to create a Flat Roxanne.
