Busy is an understatement to describe the flurry of activity here for the first couple of weeks of January and like I promised myself, I'm taking full advantage of all the help I can get and in doing so, have been able to update the store with a lot more stock. This makes me very very happy on so many levels. It's been a goal of mine to have a wide range of colourways available to all who shop at ZenYarnGarden.com. Why? In keeping with the Zen theme, I want all my customers to have a relaxing time shopping my store - what does that mean? No constant F5ing to refresh to see if something new pops up, no shopping at 3 a.m. in the morning because that's when the yarn will be up in the store and mostly, just the ability to shop peacefully without worrying about yarn being yanked out of your cart.
Following this goal has not been an easy one because it means fully stocking whenever I do an update so everyone can shop leisurely. And without further adieu, the shop has just been updated with 50+ colourways of Serenity 20...take a look at just how much that is and this picture only includes about 42 of what we actually did - the other empty hooks and the bottom row have since been filled!
As for me, I have started my first ever stranded mitten project. So far it's coming along nicely and I'm quite enjoying it! Combining colours is the fun part for me of course...now I am having visions of mittens in many many different colour combinations - the possibilities are endless!

So how has your new year been unraveling? Lots and lots of knitting planned? I have so many more things I want to knit that I doubt I'll get through it all in a year's time. Happy knitting year everyone!
