It felt really great to finish up this project - first of all, because I had started it way back in July and secondly, because it is my first time ever finishing something I "designed". Now, I put designed in quotes because yes, I did actually knit it from a stitch I decided on and did actually manage to make it into a shawlette but because I doubt I'll ever write it up into a pattern, I'm not so sure I actually finished what would be considered designing. Does designing include a pattern at the end? I suspect it does so I'm just pleased to get my design off the needles and finished for now! Writing up a pattern is not easy then comes the test phase and the final release of it - hats off to all you designers who do this full-time! I suspect it becomes more second nature as times goes on but that learning curve to get it right is a big one.
So, without further adieu, here she is...and I haven't named the shawl either...it does remind me of something but I haven't put my finger on it yet. What does it remind you of?
