I always start out with good intentions when it comes to other things I want to do. One of those other things is designing a pattern and I even took a shawl design class in the summer to help me! Good intentions indeed. Even though I always figure I will stick with it and get it finished in what would seem like a reasonable amount of time, my plans never seem to work out that way. Why? Well, of course, the business of dyeing always seems to come first and when I'm not dyeing yarn, I am doing things like writing blog posts, posting on Facebook, posting on Twitter, taking photos, uploading photos to Flickr, checking Ravelry, etc. etc. etc.
When a whole myriad of administrative work is done, I find myself having to do something else like write a newsletter. That's one I've been telling myself to do for a few days now but Tuesday is definitely my target date. Some days I just don't know how I get it all done.
However, that being said, I am still on my design quest and am making progress! See...
I am almost finished as well because the yarn is getting very very low and it'll force me to finish. I'm only hoping that when it all gets blocked, it does look okay. If not and the design doesn't seem to work for me, I will throw it in my samples pile for the fibre shows so customers can see how the yarn looks when it's knit up. Oh, and the cute little pattern holder? I got that on Etsy at Slipped Stitch Studios. Pretty cool don't you think? It's super functional and oh-so-handy too!
Did you notice the cute shawl pins I just stocked at Zen Yarn Garden? I thought they were a fun accessory for any knitted shawl or scarf and free shipping anywhere too! How fun!
