Off the needles finally! I can't believe this knit took me over 2 months. That's what happens when a horrible cold and a backache interfere with your knitting. I really enjoyed knitting this one. Scarves tend to bore me but throw in some lovely lace and it becomes way more interesting!
Designed by Wendy of Wendyknits.net, this one is knit up as halves and then grafted together or combined together by three needle bind-off. My best suggestion? If you're planning to wet block, wet block both halves then graft them together...this way the lace is open and you aren't creating a seam that's tighter than the rest of your knitting. I also suggest grafting with the front side facing out...this way, if you get a bit of a ridge from the grafting, it'll be on the wrong side of the scarf.

Raveled: Gothic Spires Scarf
Watch for more details on a contest hosted by Wendy in the next couple of weeks to launch her pattern - it will involve winning both the pattern and some yarn! Such fun! The pattern will also include instructions for knitting both a stole (takes 2 skeins of Serenity 20) or a scarf (takes 1 skein of Serenity 20).
Now, what to knit next, what to knit next? So many lovely patterns to choose from!
